  • Heritage Parade & Festival

    Get ready for a great time and a day filled with one event after another.
    The City of Henderson will celebrate their heritage as they have since 1950 with their signature parade.
    This years parade theme is "Around the World."
    The day will begin with the
    Mayor's Breakfast from 8:00am to 9:00am on the Convention Center Lawn.  The breakfast is free.  We welcome donations with proceeds to benefit HopeLink. 
    The Heritage Parade beginning at 10:00am will be the highlight of the day, and will travel from Ocean Avenue to Victory Road down Water Street. Following the parade will be the Parade Awards Ceremony.
    The Classic Car Show starts at 12:00pm until 5:00pm ending with The Classic Car Award Ceremony.  It will be located along Water Street from Basic Road to Atlantic Avenue.
    During and after all this excitement the Festival, produced by International Food & Folklife, will be taking place.
    Plan on spending the entire day, there will be fun and entertainment for the whole family.
    Enjoy having a great time with your friends and neighbors while you experience the traditions as well as foods of many cultures. Included will be traditional folk arts and folkways such as music, dance, crafts as well as the food of different nations.  There will be food vendors representing Korea, Mexico, Phillipines, India, China, Italy, Germany, Malaysia, Peru, Japan, Hawaii, Romania, Irish and Scottish.
    The Convention Center will be open and full of interesting crafts and demonstrations. Some of the demonstrators will be the following.

  • The Little Mermaid

    “THE LITTLE MERMAID”
    This adaptation of a classic fairy tale is our 20th partnership with the Missoula Children’s Theater.  The actors will include local children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
    Cheer on our local children as they star in this heartwarming performance of The Little Mermaid.

    The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, Anthem Stake presents the Story of the Birth of Jesus.  It is set in a play format using very elaborate set designs.   This is the second year that Anthem Stake has presented this inspirational play.
    Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. production.

    Participation in the ‘Mutts on Main Street’ event is free to local pet adoption organizations.
